John Ohorodnyk Sr.

June 14, 1931 -  August 17, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Ohorodnyk Sr. on August 17th, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving family. John will forever be in our hearts. John was born on June 14th, 1931 to parents Dan and Pauline Ohorodnyk, and was a devoted husband to his wife Virginia for 72 years. He was a loving father to his children John and wife Sandra, Anthony and his spouse Daniel. John had a special love for his grandchildren, Johnny and his wife Meghan, Daniel and Alex. He dedicated his life to his family. His success in management at CN Rail was unparalleled. John had a long life well lived.

Visitation will be held on Sunday August 31st, 2025 from 2-5pm and a Funeral Service will be held on Monday September 1st, 2025 at 11am at the Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga.

Memorial donations to Toronto General Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

I am heartbroken to learn of the passing of such a great man. Please know that my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time and always. He was a remarkable person who touched the lives of so many, and his spirit will always be remembered. I will cherish the memories I have of him, and be grateful to have known him.
