In Celebration of

John Malcolm MacDonald

March 12, 1935 -  August 30, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that the MacDonald family announces the passing of John Malcolm MacDonald, affectionately known as Jack, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Mississauga Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Lower Coverdale, New Brunswick, on March 12, 1935, Jack was a man of integrity, warmth, and quiet strength. In the early 1960s, he and his wife Elizabeth relocated to Ontario with their first daughter, beginning a new chapter marked by dedication to family and community.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth MacDonald, and their three children: Donna Doerksen, Lisa MacDonald, and Peter (Kim) MacDonald. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren—Jeromy, Brandon, Michelle, Fergus, and Kelsa—as well as his brother, David MacDonald. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Isabella, and his brother Hal Billard.
A committed community member, Jack was an active Rotarian and proud recipient of the Paul Harris Award. He was also a Mason and a familiar presence at the local Legion, where he enjoyed dancing on Saturday evenings. Jack’s passion for antique automobiles was well known; his collection of vintage cars was a source of pride and joy, often seen cruising through town and sparking conversations wherever he went.

In accordance with Jack’s wishes, there will be no formal viewing or funeral service.
A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 582 456 Hensall Circle, Mississauga from 2pm – 6pm on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Jack will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, service, and love for family will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
