In Celebration of

John Kastelic

March 2, 1921 -  March 15, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Kastelic, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the age of 97. Predeceased by Ingrid (Spehr), his loving wife of 56 years, dear father of Peter (Kathy), Tony (Shari) and Joanne (Harold). Loving grandfather to Christopher, Michael, Nicholas, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Thomas; Tanya (Carson), Brian, Scott; Jonathan (Jane), Adam (Stephanie), and Chelsea (Brent). Great grandfather to Claire and Benjamin. He was an inspiration to his family and we have learned from his selfless giving to others. His joy in life was family and the time he spent with his grandchildren. He did not fear death as he knew that our Savior Jesus Christ was waiting for him. The family would like to thank the many dedicated caregivers who helped him at Sunrise of Mississauga. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street West, Friday, March 16, 2018 from 6-9 p.m.. Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory Church, 122 Rathburn Road Etobicoke on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. followed by Interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Food for Children (Dr. Simone) 1258 Lakeshore Road East, Mississauga L5E 1E9.
