John (Jack) Dymond Hart passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2025 at the Westbury Agecare home in Etobicoke in his eighty-ninth year.
John was born July 31st, 1937 in Gardenville Ontario. He received both an Honours Bachelor and Masters degrees in History from Queen’s University in Kingston. John will forever be remembered for his Christian charity and love of God. His joyous and respectful nature made him popular throughout his lifetime in every setting he was in, whether it was personal or professional. People were drawn to John and loved to chat with him.
He was always interested in people and would lend an ear and a comforting voice to any who engaged with him. John enjoyed painting when he was younger but his favourite hobby was playing bridge. He loved to socialise over a game of cards and had a keen talent when he played the game.
John was a loyal and generous member of the Anglican church. He served God actively in the spirit of Christian fellowship. Many at St. Hilary’s church remember the mystery plays that John wrote and directed at the parish.
