In Celebration of

John Hawling

July 18, 1932 -  March 5, 2020

In Loving memory of John W. Hawling... Loving husband of Alison, Father of Roland and Audrey, Father-in-Law of Tonia and George, Grandad of Mathew, Jason, Jessica, Ethan and Alexzia, Brother of Richard.

John moved from Poland to East Africa where he met and married the love of his life, Alison. They moved to Canada to give their children a better life. He was an Electrical engineer working at Hydro Mississauga for most of his career. In his downtime he made many friends playing recreational tennis around Mississauga.
Although he enjoyed his tennis it was a poor substitute for the thrill of hunting wild game and fishing in Africa.
John will be remembered for his outpouring of love for family and friends, his kindness and compassion, his "First one today" at the bar he built, the stories he told of hunting and life in Africa, his many woodworking creations, teaching his grandchildren to turn their own pens in his workshop, the many jokes he told and then laughed at after delivering the punchline and so much more.

Please sign the guestbook and share a story, special memory you have of John , something his family may not know about him or a Joke. He will definitely be laughing at the jokes!

I had the pleasure of spending time with John while I was in College with Audrey! John would pour us a wonderful cocktail to relieve our post exam blues and regale us with stories and jokes to put smiles back on our faces! Forever in my heart!
