It is with great sadness the Fedak family announces the passing of John at Princess Margaret Hospital on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Ingrid. Loving father of Michele Passler and her husband Greg. Cherished Opi of Nicole and Michael. Dear brother of Peter (Joli), and Kay Pointon (Bill). Brother-in-law of Gunther (Erna) Hubel. Uncle of Jackie, Christina, Andre,Trixie, Andre and Marc.

I'm very sad to hear of my uncle Johnny's passing. I have a lot of good memories with him, Giggi (Ingred) and Michi (Michele). We saw each other a lot while I was growing up in Mississauga. I especially value memories of getting together on Christmas and Thanksgiving. Johnny taught Andre and I how to ski and took us and Michele skiing to Mansfied and Mount Saint Louis many times. Johnny was passionate about the things he liked and didn't like and was willing to take a stand for what's fair or right. I think I got that from him (as well as being a "spirited" driver:) and I thank him for it.
Looking at the positive, I can't help but think about how Johnny had a wonderful wife, daughter, grandchildren and other family who loved him. He was successful in making a good living, he had interests in sports and hobbies, he lived in nice homes, traveled to interesting and beautiful places, drove nice cars, ate and dressed well. And to spite a couple of major health set backs that would have taken some much sooner, he made it through in pretty good shape to a pretty good age, although of course not as old an age as we all wish. He will be missed by us and many.
Shellie, Tausha and I send our love, warmest regards and deepest sympathies to Ingred, Michele, Greg, Nicole, Michael and all of his family and friends.

I am so sorry about your husband/dad. We really enjoyed his company-the recipe for Hungarian BBQ pork chops(still using today). He included me on his local ski expeditions with Michelle where I gained a life long love of skiing! Will be missed.
