In Celebration of

John Douglas and Sheilah Marlyn Milne

October 1, 2017

Passed away on October 1, 2017. John and Sheilah were happily married 57 years. Parents of Sandra Milne-Vyge (John Vyge), Laurie Milne (Naeem Merchant), John Robert Milne and the late Keith Milne. Loving grandparents of Whitney, Trinity, Adam and Hannah. Also remembered by Sheilah’s dear sister Shirley Herron in Kelowna, B.C.. Mom was born and raised in Penticton and became a Registered Nurse. Dad began his career as a salesman with Triangle Electric and a promotion led him to relocate on the west coast. Shirley (Mom's sister) and her husband set the two up on a blind date and according to Dad it was love at first sight. After only a handful of dates, Dad proposed to Mom from his hospital bed, and the rest is history. They were the "best of friends" enjoying their family, golf, grandchildren, trips to Florida, their numerous dogs and friends. Together they worked side-by-side to create two successful businesses "MM* Plastic and Milne Manufacturing". Their kindness and generosity has touched many lives and they will be missed by their loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for John and Sheilah will be held at the Toronto Golf Club, 1305 Dixie Road, Mississauga on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 2 until 5 PM, with words of remembrance shared at 3 PM. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Toronto Hospital Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 416-767-3153. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca

Sandra, Laurie & John;
We were shocked and saddened by the news of your parent's death.
I fondly remember the fun pool parties at both our/your homes (you and your parents were terrific hosts!), and all of the hilarious antics we all shared at Islington Golf Club.
Our deepest sympathy on the death of your kind parents.
Sincerely,
