<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johanne Marie Dalton on Thursday, October 16, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Major Tony (J. A.) Dalton, and daughter of the late Harry S and Ann W Mulvale. Beloved mother of Michael Dalton (Yvonne) and adoring grandmother of Evan. Survived by her sister Frances Tingle (Joseph), brothers Harry (Ann) and William (Julie), and sister Theresa; predeceased by her sister, Lynne Burke. Johanne leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, many of whom will always remember her as &ldquo;The Ladybug Lady&rdquo; thanks to the chocolate ladybugs. Johanne was a teacher with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board and built countless long-term relationships with many of her colleagues. A member of the Retired Women Teachers of Ontario (RWTO), Johanne was particularly fond of the many social activities and was very involved in numerous charity events and particularly proud of her involvement in working on the PENTA events. Her son, Michael, as well as all of Johanne&rsquo;s family are deeply appreciative of the care provided to her in the oncology unit at Credit Valley Hospital, under the compassionate guidance of Dr. Kagan, the nursing team, and the support staff. <br />Friends may call at Turner &amp; Porter &lsquo;Neweduk-Erin &ndash;Mills&rsquo; Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (east of Erin Mills Pkwy), Monday from 2 &ndash; 4 &amp; 7 &ndash; 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Ignatius Loyola Parish, 2300 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. If desired, donations may be made in Johanne&rsquo;s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Credit Valley Hospital Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
