Joaquim Lopes

January 14, 1947 -  March 30, 2021


It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joaquim Lopes, at 74 years of age, on Tuesday March 30, 2021. He will be greatly missed by the love of his life, wife Irene of 48 years, daughter Sylvia (Tony) and son Nelson (Irene). Adored VovĂ´ to Alyssa, Lucas, Nathan, Audrey and Miles. He will be deeply missed by his two surviving brothers Fernando and Manuel, as well as by a wide circle of family and friends in Portugal and Canada. Joaquim was an extremely skilled painter whose talent beautified the homes of many. He was a patient, kind and gentle soul who will always be remembered for his dedication to his family, friends and his willingness to help others.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish which is subject to COVID guidelines: 15% capacity, capped at 250 people, on Wednesday April 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
