It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joao De Sales, who died peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025.

Joao was a devoted husband, first to his late wife Maria Fernanda, and later to Maria De Sousa, with whom he shared many loving years with until her passing in 2019. A pillar of strength and love in his family, Joao was the proud father of Maria (Tony) and Joao (late Fernanda, Elizabeth), a cherished grandfather to Abilio (Carmen), Linda, David (Amanda), and Melissa (Mike), and a beloved great-grandfather to Hugo, Daniel, and Anthony.

Joao's life was defined by quiet dedication, deep family values, and the love he generously gave to those around him. His legacy lives on in the hearts and lives of his family, who will miss him dearly.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel on Monday, August 18, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 11am. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
