Joan Pozhke

June 15, 1938 -  August 25, 2025

Passed away, peacefully on Monday, August 25th, 2025, at Credit Valley Hospital, in her 88th year. Predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Samuel Hickton, step-father David Hobday, and her sister, Barbara Hickton. Loving and Devoted Wife of Peter Pozhke, Mother to Paul Pozhke and James (Susan) Pozhke. Joan was a Homemaker, Office Manager and longtime Streamstress within the Clarkson-Park Royal community; this included creating her own wedding dress and many of her family members’ formal wear. She enjoyed paintings of Renoir and was known to be a puzzle master. She was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 29, from 4-8 p.m. at the Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel (1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga). Cremation will take place and an interment at Glendale Memorial Gardens will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or Alzheimer Society of Canada, would be appreciated.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Joan’s passing. It’s been a difficult couple weeks for our family. I had a car accident today so it’s slowing me down but I’m still planning to come tonight.
