Mrs Sellers was an amiable and charming lady. She was kind , sympathetic, and empathetic.
Just about 3 months into my 9 -year stint of working with Mrs Sellers, precisely November of 2007, I lost my younger brother who was not even known to Mrs Sellers. On breaking the bad news to her, Mrs Sellers wept bitterly and mourned with me . She could identify with my deep sense of loss which I greatly appreciated.
She loved to share her life experiences with others and I really enjoyed listening to a lot of these 'historical ' talks and did learn a lot of life lessons and gained some wisdom therefrom.
She was fun to be with. She loved to watch CNN and so do I. So we watched together a lot of times to the extent that we both knew more of what was happening in the United States than what was happening in Canada !
She loved books and loved to read;in fact she was a avid reader. No wonder she was a very informed person, knew a lot about many things. This probably was contributory to her having a sound mind till the end.
Last but not the least, 'JEOPARDY ' ! was her most favorite program and it is mine as well. On Monday evenings when I was with her, we never missed Jeopardy and often times, she had the correct responses to some of the questions that the contestants couldn't figure out !
Mrs Sellers has gone to be with the Lord, her creator. We all miss her but seek solace in the fact that she is no longer in pain, but at rest. May her soul rest in peace.
I use this oppotunity to once again express our heartfelt condolences to her entire family, particularly, Lori Langevin and Jodi Mckeown; and our prayer is that the Almighty will grant you the fortitude to bear the loss.
