Jennie Stojanka Mitrovic, 84 passed away on January 28, 2026, following a lengthy period of Alzheimers.

Jennie was born March 30, 1941, to Ziva and Mira Piperski in Serbia, (formerly Yugoslavia) as an only child.

From Serbia she made her way to Toronto, Ontario Canada with her husband Michael Miomir Mitrovic. Where they then continued to build a life together for many years. Jennie and Michael went on to have two lovely children, their daughter Marilyn Mirjana and son Mike Milan. She was also a stepmother to Gail Iuliani.

In Toronto, she adapted quickly to her new life and grew into the woman we all knew and loved. She was a loving, caring and selfless daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She made wonderful lifelong friends through 35 years of employment with the Revenue Canada Taxation Department. Her passions involved cooking, music and dancing. A loving mother to Marilyn and Mike, Mother-In-Law to Darren and Angela, grandmother to Tyler, Spencer, Emilio and Lucas, Aunt to Branko and Brankica in Beograd, Serbia. Her love, joy and zest for life will be missed by all.

Family and friends may call Turner and Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. Etobicoke, Ontario M9A 1B6 on Friday, January 30th from 4-6 pm.

A small intimate viewing to pay respects will be held on Saturday January 31, 2026, from 1-3 pm. Light refreshments and treats provided.
