Our family is saddened by the loss of Mr. Mann. He was a great guy who helped my two sons know what it meant to be one of the good guys. My sons, now 14 and 16, knew Mr. Mann since they were 4 years of age. He was interested in their development and in their futures -- more than interested -- he made a contribution to who they are today and, probably, to who they will become in the future. He was an educational leader at Deer Park, ran a Physical and Health Education program that was motivating, and welcomed students in the best ways. He was a passionate coach. So thank you, Mr. Mann, for everything that you contributed to our family over the past 12 years. Your efforts were noticed and, today, I am really glad that we shared our collective thoughts in our conversations.
Jeff was a larger than life personality, a smart, thoughtful guy and so much fun to be around. He was a force that drew people together, through his love of sports, music, camping, fishing and countless other things. And the energy he put into everything he did - especially teaching, his obvious and true passion - was inspirational. This is a devastating loss and my thoughts are with his dad, his brother and our friend Bob, and his nephew and niece who he loved and talked about so much. Love you buddy and miss you very much.
This news breaks my heart. I have known Jeff since I was 11 years old and have such fond memories of him. We were in French Immersion together since grade 7 until OAC. Then, we went to Queen's and shared a similar circle of friends. He had a heart of gold and a wicked sense of humor. His spirit will live on. My condolences to the family during this difficult time.
I Knew Jeff from Huronda.
Your Camp community will never forget you Jeff. A sporty kid, constantly with your buddy Matt C.
My deepest condolences to your family at this horrible time.
