In Celebration of

Jeanette Gima

January 24, 1944 -  March 8, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeanette Gima (nee Leschinsky), who passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2019, at the age of 75.

She was the best friend and wife to Peter, loving mother to Peter (Karen) and Krissy (Mike), daughter of Stan and Mary, sister to Stan (Linda) and Bernice (Pat). She was extremely proud of all of her wonderful grandsons; Matthew, Samuel, Jacob, and Noah.

Jeanette will be remembered for her love of life, good food, and travel. She had many accomplishments in life - but she was probably most proud of her family. We, the family, welcome you to join us in celebrating her life - visitation will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9, the service, followed by a reception will be Saturday, March 16, 2018 at 10:30 a.m., all at Turner & Porter (1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga).

On behalf of all of us, thank you for all of your kind words and support over the past couple of months; it has meant a lot to us. Also special thanks to the wonderful people at Care Partners and Ian Anderson House, whose support helped us through this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ian Anderson House would be greatly appreciated.

I am saddened beyond belief to hear of Jeanette's passing. I usually get several emails a week from her and thought she must be travelling as she often does at this time of the year. She was such a lovely lady and I was so happy to have had the opportunity to become re-acquainted in our later years. Tom and I extend our deepest sympathy to Peter and their family.

It was always wonderful seeing Peter and Jeanette working away on their immaculate yard, going for walks and our great conversations, family so often coming up!! Jeanette always was smiling and laughing, full of radiance. We will miss our chats and waves. Our thoughts are with all of you during this very challenging time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Peter and family. We are in Florida until mid April so will be unable to attend funeral. Jeanette always had that wonderful "big smile" and always interested in others and their lives. She will be truly missed.
