Peacefully, at Cawthra Gardens Long Term Care Residence on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Michael J. “Mickey”. Much loved mother of Jo-Anne and her husband Bob Jackson, and Cindy and her husband Dominic DiCarlo. Loving grandmother of Lori (Greg), Derrick (Christine), Tracy (Jordan), Greg (Anjali), Andrea (Verun), Kristopher (Stacy) and Deanna (James) and great-grandmother of Lucy, Stella, Michaela, Nicolas, Dylan, Cooper, Tyson, Kasia, Jaya, Maia, Leia, Ryenn and Evie. Dear sister of Josephine and the late Alice. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W. (at Windermere, east of the Jane subway) on Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

We loved Grammie Jean! She was always welcoming, fun loving, and knowledgable whenever we spoke together. A very poised and well respected lady who will be missed, and remembered by many.

On behalf of my Mom Anne and our family, we wish to offer our condolences to Jean’s family on her passing. During the time she was with Jim McKelvie Sr, she was such a wonderful addition to the family and we loved having her with us on our family trips and at special occasions. She remained such a good friend to our Mom, Anne, and although we hadn’t seen Jean in a couple of years we thought of her fondly and with love.

We are unable to be at the visitation or funeral so send our love at this time of profound grief. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
