In Celebration of

Jean Graham

December 20, 1935 -  March 10, 2026

We are heartbroken to share the sad news that Jean passed away on March 10, 2026.

She leaves behind her daughter Lawrie (Mark Davis), son Tom, and grandchildren Jonathan (Brendan), Logan (Sydney) and Rhianna (Ryan). Jean was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Ron, in 2001.

Born in Toronto, Jean was the only child of Thomasz and Jessie Sidorczuk. She attended Parkdale Collegiate and proudly graduated from the University of Michigan in 1958 with a BA degree in Speech Pathology. Her career spanned over 40 years and she helped countless children literally find their voice. In her late 40’s, she went back to school and obtained her Master of Education at the University of Toronto (OISE).

Jean was an accomplished ballroom dancer and bridge player, a gardener, world traveller and patron of the arts. She had a particular love of opera, ballet and musicals.

Diminutive in stature, she was always huge in her love for friends and family. She was also huge in her love of a good time – always ready with a smile, a laugh and a big hug.

The family would like to convey its gratitude for the care Jean received from the doctors, nurses and staff at the Toronto Western Hospital, and for the care and kindness she received as a resident of Delmanor Prince Edward.

A reception and celebration of Jean’s life will be held at Markland Wood Golf Club [245 Markland Drive, Toronto] on Saturday March 21, 2026 from noon to 2pm. A private family interment will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Dear Lawrie, Tom and family.

Captures your mom beautifully.
I always think of her as happy - with bright eyes, and a warm smile.

I have a sweet memory of her as a little girl - she tucked me into bed one night at the cottage and read me a bedtime story (a card game with the cottage crew was going on the the background on the front porch).

I’d like to think of your mom and dad together again - I can even hear Ron’s jovial voice welcoming her!

Sending love during this time and hope happy memories shared bring comfort. Xo
