I was saddened to hear that your mother-in-law passed away. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
I was very fortunate in life to be Jean's son-in-law. We never had a single issue in the 44 years that I knew her. We shared all sorts of adventures, traveling across Canada, the US and England. She was kind and generous to a fault. I can remember the both of us fighting for the bill at a Chinese restaurant in Montreal in the late 70s and her sitting in my co-pilot seat during a flight to a construction camp on the Mackenzie Highway in the Western Sub-Arctic and amazed me by her inquisitiveness about how the plane's navigation system worked. (DME for the cognescenti). Widowed far too early, she lived a productive and independent life until close to the end. I will miss her - a dear friend to people and animals alike. My gratitude goes to the staff at Humberview Heights where she spent her last few years. They took great care of her, including during the acute COVID period when the facilty was in total lockdown and no one - not family, friends or caregivers - could visit.
My deepest condolences to you Mike and your family.
May the angels sing as she watches over us from above.
Please accept our sympathy on the loss of your mom. There are so many fond memories of jaunts around southern Ontario and visits to friends and family - especially my niece. Kim Elliott in Cambridge. Although, time and circumstances caused us to loose contact, she'll always remain a very good friend. Lina
