It is with great sadness the family of Janina Hewner announce her passing on September 9, 2021. Janina was born on January 14, 1922 in Poland, and married her first husband Wladyslaw Koryczan (deceased ~1944). Janina began a new phase of her life in Canada in 1958, where she met and married Waclaw Hewner (deceased 1983). Janina was the beloved mother of her two daughters Kristine (Salvatore (Sonny)) and Elizabeth (Michael (deceased)), and cherished grandmother of Lucas and Matthew. Janina was affectionally known as “Babcia” to all family and friends, including her step-granddaughters and step-great grand children.

Rosary will begin at 8:45am at St. Casimir’s Church, 156 Roncesvalles Avenue, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9am on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 . Interment will be at Park Lawn Cemetery.
