Fun-loving, great golfer, loyal friend and member of the "elite Gairdner Social Briars Group of 8 who for 30 years met to laugh, golf, play gin rummy, gossip and totally enjoy our time together. Irreplaceable Jan will certainly be missed.. Sincere condolences.
Prayers going out to the family. To know Jan was to love Jan. She always was first class to everyone. RIP you will be missed and never forgotten.
OH JAN WHY DID YOU HAVE TO LEAVE US SO SOON? THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES FROM THE LEGACY THAT WE SHARED!! I WAS SO LUCKY YOUR WERE IN LIFE!!
Dear Lovel and Joanne, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole family right now. We remember your Mom with fondness and know that she lived life to the fullest. She will be missed but will live on in your many fond memories. Lots of love Deb and Paul
I met Jan through Kae Fogden, another keen golfer, when Jan came with her to both the Stratford Festival and the Shaw Festival. She fitted in immediately with our group of 6 women who went annually to both Festivals.
She and I had lots to talk about, both from Montreal, and we both took P. and O.T. at McGill. She was always fun, chatty, interesting, and as someone said, "she was a classy lady". So elegant and chic and smart.
Sadly our outings ended when Kae died 2 years ago, and I've not seen Jan for at least 2 years, but I remember her well and with affection.
My sympathy to all her family, Jane Aitken.
