September 28, 1940 - February 3, 2026

Janet Margaret Asmus went to be with her Lord, surrounded by family at Credit Valley Hospital on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the age of 85.
Beloved wife of Peter for 56 years. Loving mother of Klaus (Julie), Gerry (Allison), Suzanne Holwell (Michael) and the late Peter. Cherished Nanny of Olivia and John.
Her last words to each of her children were “I love you, I love you, I love you.”
She will be immeasurably missed, as she was immeasurably loved.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 10-11 a.m. The Chapel service will begin at 11a.m. Interment to follow at Streetsville Cemetery.

I never met your mother Klaus but I'm sure she was a wonderful person.

It's never easy when you lose someone close to you but over time it becomes

Janet and Peter were our wonderful neighbours for so many years. Janet was a dear friend to me, and my children lovingly called them both Nanny and Grandad. Our emails catching up with one another will be deeply missed, and I will always cherish our conversations shared over a glass of wine and her vibrant, charismatic spirit. She will be remembered with so much love and gratitude.
