My sincere condolences to Bill, Irene, and all of the family. I met Janet in a neighbourhood bridge group many years ago and admired her quiet, calm, competent manner. Her conversation revealed that family and friends took top priority in her life, but that she still had lots of room in her heart to help with sorority, the church, and the community.
Her home revealed Kerry's woodcrafting skills and Janet's sewing and crafting skills. She sewed lovely tablecloths, upholstery, and smocked dresses for children in the family. She brought beauty to her home and to others.
And now back to how I met her--- at bridge. She was a formidable opponent in the kindest way. We will all miss her.
So sorry to hear of the loss of Janet. Janet, Bill and Irene were with Kerry to meet me at the Wichita Falls, TX airport when I began as a summer intern for M-F on the Harvest Brigade in 1977. There was always room at Janet and Kerry's place when I came to the Toronto area for meetings or supporting the Canadian waterski show team. Wishing the family and many friends of Janet peace and strength during this very sad time.
We were so fortunate to be a neighbour, and friend, of Kerry and Janet's. If you ever needed anything, they were right there. We shared many good dinners and excursions together.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bill and Irene, and their families! You are going to miss Janet, but will find strength in her memory and what she taught you through words and actions. We will miss her too, but feel fortunate to have known her for so long. Bill and Eleanor
My room-mate, Claire, and I lived across the hall from Janet in residence, and we had many enjoyable times together. I was glad to catch up with her during the last couple of reunions.
rest in peace, Janet
