In Celebration of

James Robert Orr Ross

September 26, 1962 - June 26, 2025

It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Mr. James Robert Orr Ross, affectionately known as Jim, on June 26, 2025. Born on September 26, 1962, in Newmarket, Ontario, Jim's journey came to a peaceful close in Oakville, Ontario, surrounded by the love of his family.

Jim's life was a rich tapestry woven with love, creativity, and adventure. He shared a beautiful and enduring partnership with his wife, Cheryl, forming a family that was his pride and joy. His legacy continues through his children, Jessica Ross, Jake (Heather) Guglielmello, Bryn (Jessica) Ross, Casey Ross, and Dylan (Diana) Guglielmello. His role as a G-PA to Harper Ross, Luca Guglielmello, and Miles Ross was one he cherished with every fiber of his being. Jim was the revered son of Peter and Verna Ross and a brother to Don (Cindy) Ross, Nada (David) Ashbury, and Shona Ross.

Professionally, Jim dedicated many years as a lithographer at Mediacom, where his artistic talents and keen eye for detail were highly valued. He was a respected colleague and a friend to many, always ready to lend a hand or share his expertise. Jim's commitment to his work was matched only by his involvement in various associations, where he contributed his time and energy with enthusiasm.

Jim's spirituality was a guiding force in his life, one that brought him great comfort and strength. He approached life with a sense of wonder and curiosity that was infectious. An adventurer at heart, Jim found joy in exploring the world around him, whether it was through discovering new music, going for impromptu drives in his Jeep, or experimenting with recipes in the kitchen. His creative spirit was evident in everything he touched, and his handiwork can be found in the homes and hearts of those who knew him.

Jim had a knack for turning the ordinary into the extraordinary and making the impossible seem possible. His life was a testament to the power of love, the beauty of creativity, and the thrill of adventure. We carry forward the essence of Jim's being in every melody, every crafted piece, and every journey we embark upon. We will feel his presence, reminding us to embrace life with the same passion and enthusiasm he exemplified.

Rest in peace, Jim. Your story is one of love, laughter, and a well-lived life. Your journey on this earth has ended, but your spirit soars free, leaving us with a legacy of cherished moments and lessons learned. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
