James Nelson Adam

August 14, 1936 -  September 16, 2019

Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, September 16, 2019 in Mississauga at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Jessie, loving father of Gary (Laura) and Mandy (Joseph). Loving brother to William (Christine) and Alec. Loving Papa to Matthew, Ashley, Jessica, Alexandra and Hannah, loving Great Papa to Alice. Loving uncle to Kym (Mike), Paul (Libby), Karen (Freddy) and families and Ian, Maureen and Barbara in Scotland.

A lifetime member and legend in the Ontario Shoes Travellers Association. Jim was a long-time member of Credit Valley Golf and Country Club where he will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Friends may pay their respects at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N of QEW) on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 12 p.m. until the time of the Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m.

We will be hosting a Celebration of Life for Jim at the Credit Valley Golf and Country Club at 2500 Old Carriage Road, Mississauga immediately following the chapel service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate a life well lived.

Special thanks to the amazing staff at Amica Peel Village for their incredible care and compassion towards dad during the last 3 months.

to Jims family...Never did I have the pleasure of working with Jim but I have known him for many years. Attending many shoe shows I would see him in ACTION...seemed to know everyone and was a pleasure to be around.
