James Patrick Head, a kind soul, a gentle soul, a generous soul. He was a son, a brother, a cousin, and a friend. Jim was born in Buchans, Newfoundland. As a young man, he moved with his family to Ontario to seek new opportunities. He retired from the Loblaws distribution warehouse at 57 years old. Jim’s joys in life included playing the lottery, which included pick3, pick4, 649 or lotto max. He had small wins, and that was enough for him.
> Jim and his brother Michael were often seen having coffee at Tim Hortons or McDonald’s.
> Jim also took a lot of pride in helping Terry with all his projects, from fence building, to sheds, decks, and retaining walls. Jim was always there for a ride to the airport, or picking up the mail, or watching the house when you are away on vacation.
> But his greatest joy was holidaying back in Newfoundland. Since retiring he tried to get back twice a year for weeks at a time. Jim new he had a second home at his cousin Ada‘s home in Botwood, Newfoundland. He enjoyed watching her boys grow up, but more so shopping with Ada. Jim was always happy to see Ada happy, and often referred to her as a sister. After stacking wood with Ada‘s husband, Dennis, they often shared in a meal of cod or lobster.
As we’ve shared our last meal with Jim, we will always remember his smile and warmth.
Rest in peace, dear Jim.
