In Celebration of

James Meiklejohn

March 22, 1926 - February 26, 2019

With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father and grandfather at the age of 92. Jim was born in Glasgow, Scotland on March 22, 1926 and moved to Canada in 1952, where he met his life's love Irena (Šernaitė) Meiklejohn who predeceased him in 2016. Jim leaves his son Peter (Solveiga), daughter Ruta (Paul) Stauskas, and his beloved grandsons Peter & Nikolas Stauskas and Joris & Aistis Meiklejohn. He also leaves his sister Sheila Walley and her family of Vancouver, BC.

It is very saddening to see the end of a great man’s life. Having been a family friend for over 38 years I know he will be missed dearly for his insight and wisdom.
He was a very deliberate and principled man where his imprint has been left on the mieklejohn and Stauskas boys.
I shed a bunch of tears this week reminiscing.
