Peacefully, at home, on Friday, April 9, 2021, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of the late Bonnie. Loving father of Maeve McCarthy (Frank), Shelly O’Neill (Stephen) and Kelly Freisen (Brad). Devoted grandfather to Erin, Jason and Samantha. Survived by sisters Maureen and Patricia and brothers Joe and Bill. Jim will be missed by his many nieces and nephew as well as all his extended family and friends in Ireland and Canada

Knew Jimmy when I lived in Canada. A really nice guy and a great Gaelic footballer.

My memories of Jim Egan are childhood ones. Spent a lot of time at their house and remember him and Bonnie as so young and cool. Losing a parent is never easy and my thoughts are with Maeve, Kelly, Shelly and family.
