Jack Lyons

The family of Jack Lyons is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Tuesday, June 21 at the age of 90.
His memory will be forever cherished by his wife and lifelong love of 60 years, Julia. Children, John (Tina), Mary Jo (Tony Romanin), Valerie (Ian Sala), and Faye (Dave Pecharich), his seven grandchildren, Renee, Nicole, Jennifer, Marc, Mitchell, Jack, and Jake, and four great-grandchildren, Mateo, Sebastian, Angel, and Isabella will miss him greatly.
Jack was born in Erindale, Ontario. He opened Lyons Auto Body in 1952 and remained active in the business for his entire life. For over 50 years he was a loyal member of the Rotary Club and received the Paul Harris Fellow award for his contributions to the community.
A passionate skier and committed family man, Jack introduced his young family to skiing and continued sharing his passion with his grandchildren. Jack loved the outdoors, and the family has many cherished memories of times spent with him.
Jack was an avid golfer and he and Julia enjoyed many rounds of golf together and with many of their friends.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel on Wednesday, June 29th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 30th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Parish, 1290 McBride Avenue, Mississauga. A livestream link will be available through the church website. The following are instructions to view livestream:

A burial service will follow at the St. Peter’s Erindale Cosmopolitan Cemetery, 3041 Mississauga Road.
Family and friends are invited to attend a reception at the Mississaugua Golf and Country Club located at 1725 Mississauga Road at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ian Anderson House or the Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House.
