Ivan passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, May 22nd at his home by the lake. Post a dinner party with his wife and friends, he watched his Raptors achieve victory against all odds, fell asleep and died in a dream. Raised in Slovenia he had family and friends on both sides of the ocean. Both Europe and Canada were home. We are grateful for the time we had together and his generosity and spirit will be greatly missed. Ivan is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Annamaria, his loving children Christy and husband Robert, Adria and husband John, and Ivan H. and fiancee Jessica, and his adored grandchildren, Darius, Alexander and Adriana.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 2-6 p.m. In honour of Ivan, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation.
