It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, Ivan Kuchan, after a lengthy illness on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Trillium Health Care Partners in Mississauga. Ivan was born on August 29, 1932 in Hreljin Croatia. He was predeceased by his parents Vera and Ivan Kuchan. Ivan is survived by his loving wife Anica, with whom he built a loving life and family together. Ivan is the dearest father to Lillian Ugrin (Marinko) and Georgina Mlinaric (Zlatko). He is a very proud grandfather to Dr. Linda Ugrin and Sandra Ugrin, Michael and Michelle Mlinaric. Ivan took great interest and pride in everything that was happening in the lives of children and grandchildren; especially their education. Ivan valued his time with family and friends. Annual visits to his hometown of Hreljin in Croatia brought him much joy. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Trillium Health Care Partners in Mississauga: Dr. Behl, nurses Maureen and Damon, and PCW Maria on 6J and the nursing and PCW staff of 1J for their attention and care of our father Ivan. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turner and Porter Peel Chapel (2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga). Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of Croatian Martyrs (4605 Mississauga Rd., Mississauga).
