Passed away peacefully in her 80th year on Thursday November 9, 2023. Irena was born to the late Stanislaw and Marianna on January 3, 1943 in Poland; the eldest sibling to brother Wladyslaw (deceased). Wife of the late Tadeusz Jarosz, loving mother to Ted and Richard and mother-in-law to Anna. Cherished Babcia to Jozio, Sophia, Christian, Madelenka, and Sebastian. Irena immigrated to Toronto and married in 1968. In her younger years, Irena enjoyed family trips to Wahnekewaning Beach, Georgian Bay and went back to visit Poland several times. She was a proud founding member of St Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church and worked and retired from the Campbell’s Soup company. We would like to thank the AgeCare Westbury Nursing Staff for their care and support throughout Irena’s time with them since February 2020. Visitation will take place at Turner & Porter “Peel Chapel” Funeral home, 2180 Hurontario Street Mississauga on Tuesday November 14, 2023 from 6 pm to 9 pm; rosary at 8 pm. Funeral mass on Wednesday November 15th at St Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
