Ian Bruce Bellman
April 23, 1933 - April 7, 2014
It is with great sadness that the family of Ian Bruce Bellman announces his sudden passing on April 7, 2014 at age 80. Beloved husband and best friend of Cindy; cherished father of Robin and son-in-law David and much-loved grandfather of Charlotte. He will be dearly missed by his sister Heather (George), sisters-in-law Wendy (Karl) and Nancy (Alan) and father-in-law Warren; nieces and nephews, Carrie, Chris, Sarah and Stephen and their partners. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Jean Bellman, sister Sylvia, first wife Patricia and son Terry. Ian enjoyed a successful career in the life insurance business for more than 40 years. Besides his family, Ian’s great passions were hockey, travel and above all, golf. A long-time member of Lambton Golf & Country Club, Ian revelled in his holes-in-one (4) and shooting under his age last year. More important than the golf scores; however, were the many friendships he made on and off the course. Family and friends will be received at Turner & Porter Funeral Home, Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, Toronto. Visitation from 6 pm to 9 pm on Monday, April 14, 2014 and 10 am to 11 am on Tuesday April 15, 2014 with service to follow in the chapel at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation in support of the Heart and Vascular program, or your favourite charity, would be appreciated.
