In Celebration of

David William Hughes

November 26, 1942 -  September 2, 2017

After a lengthy illness and a courageous battle David passed away at the Trillium Health Partners – Mississauga Site on Saturday, September 2, 2017 in his 75th year. Dear son of the late Dr. Richard and Odetta Hughes (nee Moroughan). He will be fondly remembered by Maruja Hughes (nee Ulloa). She was the Love of his Life. Loving father to Brenda and son-in-law Stephen McMath. Grandfather to Hunter Hughes McMath. Dear brother to Richard and the late Paul and Peter Hughes. A special thank you to his ‘brother from another mother’, Henry Barnsley, who has been his primary healthcare provider and confidant. Henry has been an angel in human form and our hero for the last six years. David will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Scott, Wendy, Kimberley, Shane, Simone, and Alex (Lisa). Great uncle to Adelaide and Madison. He will be missed by his first cousins Maxine Weedle and Tom Hughes and their families. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, November 26th (details to be finalized). Please contact Brenda Hughes-McMath at bmcmath@rogers.com. David leaves us with a smile on our face, and laughter in our hearts. He loved to hear a funny story and especially liked to tell one. He will be missed.Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel,905-279-7663. Online sharing of your thoughts and memories of David available through www.turnerporter.ca

David was just a wonderful and an intellegent person to work with, he loved quality lifestyle and down to earth person that doesn't grudge people. He related well with people no matter your colour although as a human being he might have his bad days but whenever he was back to his senses he would render apology and open a new clean page . Because of my health Care professional skills, I understood him so well that I knew when he was in good or bad mood that he would say that I was immuned to his bad mood. There was one day he told Brenda to give her support for him to marry me because I understood him so well.
David I am really going to miss everything about you but I believe that you have gone to rest.
David Rest In Perfect Peace.

Maruja, my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved husband. Thinking of you and your family at this sad time in your lives. I know your heart is aching right now but know also how full of love and pride it is because of David. You have always been such a gentle and loving person Maruja. Your beautiful nature will help you and your family work through your grief. Much love to you and your family, Carmen (Alexander-Nash). xxoo

While words fail to capture the pains of losing a loved one, we look forward to the time when words will fail to capture the joy of having our heavenly father Jehovah return your dear one to you as promised at:
John 5:28-29, Isaiah 25:8 and Rev 21: 3-5.
Kindly accept my condolences.
