It is with profound sadness that the family announce that Hugh passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. He leaves behind his wife Rosina who was the love of his life and best friend of 80 years, his 4 sons Alan (Cheryl), Colin (Rose) , Stuart and Graham (Gillian). His Grandchildren, Andrew (Natalie), Holly (Jaan), Kyle, Cameron, Maggie (James), Conor (MacKenzie), Iain (Maddie) and Lauren. His Great Grandchildren, Raven, Lowen, Alexandra, Mylo, Talvi, Chase and Olivia as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Hannah and Hugh and his brothers James and Campbell.

Hugh was born in Glasgow where he served as a police officer from 1951 until he moved his family to join his parents and brothers in Toronto in 1966 where he served on Toronto Metropolitan Police Force until his retirement in 1993. He was a dedicated and loving Husband, Father Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle and many Friends. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

A Visitation will be held on October 9 between 5-8pm at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, Funeral Home, at 2180 Hurontario St, Mississauga. A Funeral Service will be held at the same location on October 10 at 3 pm.
