Herman Held

June 3, 1933 -  April 6, 2018

Passed away peacefully, on Friday, April 6, 2018, surrounded by the love of his family at the Trillium Health Centre- Mississauga, at the age of 84. Herman was born in Bukovina, Romania to his parents, Johann Held and Broni Muller. He was a successful and proud business owner of H & H Machine. He had a warm and magnetic personality with many friends, loved learning new things, lead an active lifestyle including soccer and tennis in his youth, swimming, dancing, fishing, playing cards through his life, and most recently started beekeeping. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vera; two daughters, Christine (husband Michael) of Hockessin, DE and Sylvia (partner Kevin) of Thornbury, ON, two grandchildren, James and Caroline, brothers Maximilian and Rudolph, and many relatives and Canada, USA and Europe. A special thank you to doctors and nurses at Trillium Hospital- Mississauga. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW) on Friday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. Interment St. John’s Dixie Cemetery.
