Henry B. McNeil-Smith

August 29, 1936 -  June 2, 2017

Passed away peacefully holding the hands of his family, on Friday June 2nd at the age of 80. Henry was born in Montreal on August 29, 1936 the 6th of 11 children and moved to Toronto as a young teenager. He started as a file clerk at the age of 16 and remained with the same company until his retirement at 57 when the company was sold and closed. He was a member of the High Park Ski Club and it was there that he met his beloved wife of 55 years, Reita Mary (nee Saint) who cared for him during his three year battle with cancer. He will be missed by his children Kevin, Bruce (Racquel) and Susan Barrett (Paul) as well as his grandchildren James, Emma, Samantha & Laura. Henry was an avid golfer and 10-pin bowler. Henry loved all sports and coached each of his children in the Cloverdale Softball League which he helped create in his beloved Etobicoke neighbourhood. Please join the family to Celebrate his Life at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W, Etobicoke (between Kipling and Islington Aves.) on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 2 p.m. until time of the Service to be held in the Chapel at 3 p.m. On line condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca

He was a wonderful man, a great baseball coach and a perfect gentleman.
