Passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years. Loving wife of 57 years to the late Joseph. Cherished mother of Ted (Angela), Ed (Catherine), Diane (Kem). Dear Babcia of Victoria, Peter, Jamie, and Luke. Sister of Leokadia and the late Genowefa. Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was born in Marianka, Poland, the youngest of three children. Her family fled the aftermath of WWII to come to Canada where she met Joseph, married, and raised a family in the High Park area. She worked for over 25 years at Christie’s and the family always had a good supply of cookies and treats. Family meant everything to her, and she always enjoyed the many family get togethers, trips to Wasaga Beach, and travels to warmer climates with family and friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful people at Runnymede Health Centre that helped her through her final months. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., (east of the Jane Subway), on Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church, 156 Roncevalles Ave., on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery.
