In Celebration of

Helen Agard

December 24, 1966 -  April 19, 2018

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our dear, sweet Helen Agard, who left us peacefully, with family at her side, in palliative care at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, at the age of 51. Helen was one of the purest souls to walk this earth and we were all blessed to have been touched by her loving heart. She was the beloved daughter of Ena and the late Calvin, dear sister of Emily (Joël), loving niece of Teresa (Sydney), Marion (Steele), Olive, Beryl, Clara, Myrtle, Rosie, the late Lionel (Shirley), Hugh (Claire), Austin, Monica and loved deeply by many dear cousins. During her courageous battle with cancer, she was surrounded by countless family and friends. The outpouring of love and prayers was a testament to the beautiful life she lived.

Friends and family may visit at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW) on Friday, April 27th, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 5650 Mavis Rd., Mississauga on Saturday April 28th, at 6:30 p.m. followed by a reception in the parish hall to honour and celebrate Helen’s life.

For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Helen, so sorry to see you go so soon. Will miss your
sincerity when you greeted me. Yes, God has certainly
called home one of his own.
To Ena, with deepest regrets from the heart no words
can truly express.
My love, and God's strength and blessings.

My sincere condolences to Mrs Agard and Emily and Helen's extended family. I attended St Clements School with Helen and then St Joseph's. I was happy to reconnect with Helen following our high school reunion and then social media. When I think of Helen, I remember her grace, her gentleness and her subtle sense of humour. I remember how she held Emily's hand tightly as she walked her to St Clement's. In the recent weeks, she was a woman of great courage. Helen never missed an opportunity to share a warm greeting on facebook when it was a holiday or special occasion. I will miss those friendly messages. Dear Helen, may you rest in peace. XO Christine

Helen and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this most sorrowful time. Helen was such a sweet and gentle person and much too young to leave this world. May she rest in peace in heaven with our Lord.

Mrs. Agard we are so upset to hear this recent sad news about your daughter, Helen.
We recall how she took care of you on our Fatima trip, very kind and considerate person. May she rest peacefully.
