In Celebration of

Hayley Louise Cameron

May 23, 1976 -  December 25, 2025

Hayley Louise Cameron passed away peacefully in her beloved home of Toronto. Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, to Allan and Veronica Cameron, Hayley was the youngest daughter and the cherished sister of Fiona.

Hayley was fondly known as our "family manager." Despite our family living across three different countries, she was the glue that kept us together, ensuring we spoke every single day. She faced years of health challenges with a humble, miraculous strength, never complaining and always choosing kindness. Hayley believed that small acts of compassion were the greatest work of all.

She is survived by her parents, Allan and Veronica (United Kingdom), and her sister, Fiona (United States). Having Hayley in our lives for 49 years will forever be our most prized gift.

Fly free, our beautiful butterfly. You are pain-free at last. 🦋

In Lieu of Flowers:
In remembrance of Hayley please consider a memorial contribution to a cause that meant a great deal to her:

This Christmas Eve, Heaven needed another light, and God called for an angel. My beautiful sister heeded that call. While our hearts are broken to say goodbye on such a holy night, we find peace knowing she is shining brighter than any star in the sky. Rest in perfect peace, Sis. You were the best gift we ever received.

Dear Hayley,

We thank you for your love and thoughtfulness and gentle ways.

We shall hold the memories close to our hearts.

Like a beautiful butterfly, we watch you fly away over the horizon.

Our hearts ache as we say: 'Goodbye'.

We commend you to God's mercy and we pray for your eternal peace.

We thank God for the gift of sharing your life.

We thank God too, for 'calling you out by name'.

With love,

Auntie Liz and Uncle Helmut

"When I Die" is a poignant poem by Merritt Malloy that encourages loved ones to remember the speaker through acts of love and kindness rather than sorrow.

"When I Die" by Merritt Malloy: When I die Give what’s left of me away To children And old men that wait to die. And if you need to cry, Cry for your brother Walking the street beside you. And when you need me, Put your arms Around anyone And give them What you need to give to me. I want to leave you something, Something better Than words Or sounds. Look for me In the people I’ve known Or loved, And if you cannot give me away, At least let me live on in your eyes And not your mind. You can love me most By letting Hands touch hands, By letting bodies touch bodies, and by letting go.

Of children That need to be free. Love doesn’t die, People do. So, when all that’s left of me Is love, Give me away. I'll see you at home in the earth.
