It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Hayley.

Hayley Daphne Shinn graced us with her presence on November 25, 1997, with the same magical force that captured the attention of everyone around her. From dance to gymnastics to knitting and horse-back riding, her curiosity for life never wavered.

Her love of cooking grew into her culinary passion with the same artistry of a true foodie.

There was always an adventure waiting around the corner as her eagerness for travel led her to the rushing waterfalls of Iceland, to the California coast, Europe and the warm sunny beaches of the Cayman Islands.

Hayley’s love of nature where many planned outings for bonfires and camping with friends.

Her compassion for animals, extended to all creatures big and small. There was never a furry animal that she was not able to feed, embrace or try to take home, much to the surprise of her beloved dog Brody.

A true artist at heart, Hayley’s love of sketching and painting was where her true calling was. Her generosity and laughter were always on hand with family, friends and neighbors alike.

Hayley was the light that always shone bright in our lives. The light that navigated us through sunsets and starry nights, through rainy days and rainbows. She lit up our sky with fireworks. Her Mom, Dad and cherished big brother Alexander, her Nonna and all her extended family will forever be filled with the abundance of love that she has left in our hearts forever.
