Passed away suddenly at home on Monday, September 4, 2017, just shortly before his 76th birthday. Beloved husband and best friend of Helen for 51 years. Much loved father of Julie and her husband Edward O’Rorke, Vanessa and her husband Bryan Jamieson, Joanna and her husband Andrew Quattrociocchi, and his late daughter Suzanne, who he will now join. Loving grandfather of Grace, Greer, Matthew, William and Keith. Dear son of the late Harold and Dora Hewgill. Dear brother of Geraldine, Glen (Butch), and the late Laverne and Kent; and brother-in-law of Jean and the late Betty. Harvey lived a full and happy life. He was a successful businessman that enabled him to work globally. Through his travels he visited many countries and had the opportunity to experience many cultures. After spending time in Bermuda and London, England, he settled in Mississauga and purchased his own business. Harvey was a proud business owner, hockey player, ball player, a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, but most of all a proud and loving husband and father. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St. (Hwy 10, north of the QEW) on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 1 p.m., followed by a reception at the funeral home. Interment to be held at the Maxwell Union Cemetery on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 12 noon.
