In Celebration of

Harold “Benny” Edwards

February 25, 1931 -  December 23, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Harold Edwards, affectionately known as “Benny.”

He is fondly remembered by his dear friend, Patricia (Pat); sisters, Monica (Betty), Margaret (Birdie), Nellie (Boogsie), and his brother, Winston (Bobby); brothers- and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends in Canada, Jamaica, England, and the United States. Benny was predeceased by his father, Manasseh; mother, Eva; wife, Una; brothers, Manley (Bertie) and Errington (Bishop); and sister, Amy (Beryl).

Benny was born in Kingston, Jamaica on February 25, 1931, the 2nd (3rd) child of Eva and Manasseh Edwards. He first immigrated to England in the 1950s and then settled in Canada in the 1960s. He worked as a Machinist at Massey Ferguson for many years. He travelled the world extensively. He was an avid photographer and a passionate bowler. He participated in many bowling clubs and leagues in Mississauga and Toronto, winning many trophies over the years. He was also a long-standing member of the 55+ Senior Club. Benny was cherished and loved by many.

He is greatly missed and will live on in our hearts forever.

We would like to thank Sunrise of Mississauga for their care of our loved one, especially the 4th Floor Reminisce Staff who fondly remember Benny for his beautiful smile that lit up a room.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no public visitation.

A live video streaming of the Service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 3:00 p.m.
