In Celebration of

Gordon Glynn

April 16, 1975 -  August 5, 2022

Passed away at Kensington Hospice on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the age of 47. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Susan. Loving father of Evan. Dear brother of Courtney and Kenneth. He will be lovingly remembered by his great aunt Barbara, friend Henry and Nelson, and the mother of Evan. His enthusiastic spirit and passion for life was evident as he travelled the world, explored the outdoors, and excelled at swimming, skiing and snowboarding. His glittering personality shone through in his love of music and the theatre. Through his work with the City of Toronto, Gordon turned his passions into a career in parks and recreation. He had a beautiful spiritual nature and a wonderful heart. He will be dearly missed.

The family will receive visitors at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Friday, August 12 from 12-1 p.m., with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 p.m. in the Chapel. For those who wish, donations may be made to Lifesaving Society.

I'm struggling to find the words because you're leaving us too soon and I wish I didn't have to say goodbye. You were a better man than most knew, with a huge heart and indefatigable spirit. May your memory be a blessing to Evan, Courtney, Ken and everyone else who's life you touched in a positive way. Thinking of you!

Gord was a super star.
He was all heart.
He dedicated himself to his family.
They were his highlight , his pride, his joy.
He worked exceptionally hard, always trying to improve and exceed his present standing.
He was passionate about medicine. His ambition was to be a medical doctor. He started his education a few times, but life’s responsibilities took precedence and he always felt he’d get to his personal goal when everyone he loved, had all their needs met first.
Gord used that energy to teach first aid and water rescues. He was an energetic incredible teacher. His students of 25 years still ask about him and say he was such a driving force in their developing lives. The parents valued and respected him and he in turn showed them great interest and care.
Gord was an unusual combination of old world values and modern methods.
His time in this world was too short.
He still had so much to give
He looked forward to when it could be Father and son time.
I wish Gord a safe peaceful journey.
I know he worshiped his Aunty Barb. He so deeply loved his sister Courtney. He was so protective of baby brother Ken, who could still make him smile.
May G-d bless you all with beautiful memories of your very very special nephew, brother.
The Christmas family portrait will be missing him, but I know he would want you all to keep your family traditions going.
Sincerely,
Jerry Madelaine Nathaniel Michaella Elisha Rahma Immanuel and the whole Greenberg family.
