In Celebration of

Gordon Bennett Langille

November 21, 1931 -  August 8, 2018

It is with great sadness and love that we announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather, Gordon Bennett Langille on 8 August 2018.
Gordon earned his B.A. at the University of Toronto (Vic) in 1954, and then went on to Osgoode Hall and was called to the bar in 1958. He practiced as a commercial litigator in Toronto for several years, in the later of those years he was well known in the fields of resource law, mining law, and financing. He retired from active practice and used his expertise in advising other young lawyers teaching legal aid and private investigating at a private school in Toronto. Students from those years continued to visit him often to discuss the old days and their plans for the future. After retirement, he used his many years of experience to advise entrepreneurs and small business owners in respect of nonlegal business matters and administration. He remained active and intellectually strong until his death.
There are no words adequate to express how much Gord will be missed by family and friends. Sadly predeceased by his beloved wife, Marion, daughter Lisa Ann and son Gordon Patrick, Gordon is survived by daughter Susan Lee, her husband Jeff Sutherland and grandchildren Zachary, Ryan, and Meagan.
Friends may call at Turner and Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W, Etobicoke on Monday, August 13, 2018, visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m., a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Humber River Hospital Foundation.
