Peacefully, at home with her family and dear friend Verona by her side on Thursday, July 17, 2025. Beloved wife of Roy for 67 years. Adored mother to Sonia Shaw (Canada) and Doreth Paul of England. Son-in-law Osbourne Shaw (Canada) Cherished grandmother to Chad, Kelly, Kimberley and much loved great grandmother to Madison, Megan, Harrison and Theo, all of England. Dear sister to Stanford Messam, UK and the late Lascelles Messam UK. Survived by her dear brother-in-law Leo Champagnie (UK).

A Funeral Service will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit Of Peace, 1170 Tynegrove Road, Mississauga, on Friday August 1, 2025 at 11 a.m. Visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment Glen Oaks Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Peel.

My deepest condolences to Gloria’s Family and have met your mom on several occasions at St. Hilary’s Church. What a beautiful woman with a loving soul and with kindness . She warmed you with her smile and grace always. May the family find comfort in her beloved memories and the love she gave to the family. Prayers especially to Sonia and Ossie who cared for her mom with so much devotion and compassion . God Bless the Family and you are in our prayers.✝️✝️✝️

"Hi Chad wha go on?" This is how all our conversations started. Grandma and I would chat for a bit, then came time for Grandad to join in. "ROY, ROY pick up de phone", "who is it?", "Roy, is yu granson" even as I type this I can hear Grandma saying it. A three way conversation would then ensue, which always made me smile. Grandad would ask "why you na come off the phone Miss May?" But Grandma would never leave, they would both talk to my wife and their two great grandchildren (gran babies, as she would say), it was always eventful. You are loved Grandma, you will always be loved. We miss you. Love you always Chad, Priti, Madison and Megan xxxx
