FOTIA, GIUSEPPE (JOE) passed suddenly on May 9, 2018 at the age of 71. Beloved husband to Doreen, devoted father to Joey, and loving brother and uncle to family in Ottawa and Toronto. Joe was a 34-year veteran of the Ontario Provincial Police, retiring in 2002 as Detective Staff Sergeant. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hanging out at Mamma Martino's, and vacationing in Las Vegas. Some of Joe's favourite activities included drinking fine wine, playing cards, and sharing an espresso and cannoli with Bruno and Nick. Joe was taken from us far too soon. His sense of humour and storytelling will be dearly missed.
Friends may call at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke, ON (between Kipling and Islington Aves.) from 2 – 4 & 6 – 9 p.m. on Monday. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Leo’s Roman Catholic Church, 277 Royal York Rd. Toronto. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in Giuseppe’s memory will be greatfully accepted.
