Gillian was a truly lovely person, she was the embodiment of graciousness. She had a wicked sense of humour an impish smile and was always cheery. She was a true friend in every way and I’ll miss her terribly.

Jill will live on in memories of the times our adopted family has shared over these many years. She will be cherished in my heart for her kindness and caring.

Rest In Peace dear friend 💐

Jill was family. An "auntie" to my husband, Mike, thanks to a lifelong friendship with Jan and Phil, she -- along with Ernie -- were an important part of our lives for decades.

When Jan died, I told Jill how comforting it was to have close friends-turned-familly like her and Ernie, to lean on and grieve with, but also to continue lovely traditions like Easter dinners and celebrating anniversaries and other milestones together.

Jill's kindness, generosity of spirit, and sweet, tinkling laugh will be sorely missed.

Sending Ernie big hugs and big love.

Jill was an amazing aunt and a great friend to my mother, Jan. I carry fond memories of exploring the basement of Jill and Ernie's house with my brother and cousins, usually getting up to no good (whirling plumb lines, vigorously played drum kits, accidentally broken ceramic fish). When we visited as kids we often got ice cream with Crème de menthe drizzled over top. We felt like royalty, but it was probably just a tactic Jill used to tire us kids out! It was Jill who granted my grandad's long-standing wish to smash a trifle with a spoon. I will make my next pumpkin pie green in your honour. Miss you Auntie Jill.
