In Celebration of

Walter Gerald "Gerry" Sargent

August 22, 1928 -  September 24, 2023

In his 96th year, Gerry passed away at home with his wife, Patricia by his side. He leaves behind his daughter, Gail, his granddaughter, Melanie, and great-grandson, Beckett.

He will be remembered by his brothers in England, Roy, Coline (Nadine), and Ivor (Esther). Predeceased by Kenneth, Freda, Kathleen, and Beryl.

There are many nieces and nephews in England and friends in Wales, who will have fond and loving memories of Uncle Gerald. Thank you to our many friends in Canada and Britain who enjoyed good times with him.

A Service of Remembrance is to be held at Clarkson Road Presbyterian Church, 1338 Clarkson Road North, Mississauga, on October 12th, 2023 at 1:30 p.m.

Gerry’s ashes will be interred in, Shropshire, Pulverbatch, England at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerry’s honour can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society and would be greatly appreciated.

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Gerry and Patricia.
Gerry epitomized the term gentleman. He was the true gentle man. A sparkle in his eye and a smile.
A wicked sense of humour.
He and Patricia were true soulmates.
Gerry you are missed.
My sister Moira and I send our heartfelt condolences.
In our thoughts.

I had the pleasure of spending time with Gerry over a period of several years. He was a very good natured and engaging man with a great sense of humour. I am sure he will missed very much by his family and friends. RIP Gerry.
