Passed away peacefully at Lakeside Long Term Care at 90 years of age. Survived by John, loving husband of 63 years, children Cam (Cindy), Michelle (Mark), Scott (Meg) and Ian (Lisa). Much loved grandmother of Amy, John, Jack, Mac, Adrienne, Maddy and Gillian. After graduating from Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec, Gerry started her life-long romance with John, who she met while both had summer jobs at the Banff Springs Golf Course. Hockey, supporting her children at all of their sporting events (and there were many), bridge and gathering with friends and family poolside were staples in her social life. Gerry will be remembered for her deep love of family, bright intellect, chatty personality and spunky nature. A private family service will be held at Holy Family Church with a public celebration of life to be held at a later date. The family thanks the staff at Lakeside for their outstanding care, particularly Almaz and Lisa. If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
