George Tassopoulos

May 16, 1933 -  July 30, 2025


It is with great sadness the Tassopoulos family announces the passing of George at St. Joseph's Hospital, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at the age of 92.

He passed peacefully surrounded by his family. Cherished husband of the late Sophie. Loving father of Angelo, and Effie Bitos and her husband John. Cherished Papou of Stacey (Steven), Bobby ( Zanette), George (Marielle) and Justine. Adored Great Papou of Zoe, Alexis, Elias, Yianni and Parker.

Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor Street W.) Monday from 3-8 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held at Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral (136 Sorauren Ave.) Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 11 a.m.

Interment at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery, Mississauga.
